Saturday 22 June from 10am to 4pm
Led by the Council, in collaboration with our Armed Forces community, the Armed Forces Day event will provide an opportunity to come together and thank those who have fought for our country, as well as showing our support for those currently serving.
Rotherham has a long and proud history of supporting the Armed Forces community and the borough is home to one of the biggest Armed Forces celebrations in the region.
This year’s event in the town centre will include a military parade, followed by a parade inspection, Act of Worship and speeches, Cadet displays. There will also be entertainment taking place at All Saints' Square.
Entertainment will take place at All Saints' Square from 11.25am to 4pm. There will be stalls on Effingham Street between 10am and 4pm.

Town Centre Parade and Entertainment Timings
- 10am – Marching Contingents report to Parade Commander and Parade forms up on College Street
- 10.10am – Civic Dignitaries and guests escorted to All Saints’ Square to gather on the steps
- 10.20am – Parade moves off from College Street, led by Marching Band with Military contingents, Cadets and Veterans
- 10.32am – Parade arrives back in All Saints’ Square
- 10.35am – Parade Inspection
- 10.50am – Act of Worship
- 11am – Speeches
- 11.10am – Performance by Marching Band.
- 11.20am – Parade to March off the Square, Eyes Left, turn up Church Street and fall out at Minister Steps

Free parking is available on Saturdays in all Council-owned off-street car parks in Rotherham town centre, with no ticket required.
