Dawns Inks Expands

Dawns Inks Expands

Dawns Ink and Computer Supplies, previously based on Eastwood Lane, has taken steps to become bigger and better!

Dawn Ordish launched her computer and ink supplies business six years ago on a stall in Rotherhams Indoor Market. She very quickly realised that to provide the full extent of services that her customers wanted, she needed larger premises so was soon on the move to a dedicated shop on Eastwood Lane.

By building up her customer base, Dawns business has yet again outgrown its Eastwood Lane home meaning another recent move to bigger and better premises close by on Howard Street.

Director of Planning and Regeneration Paul Woodcock said: Dawns expanding business proves Rotherham Market is an ideal starting place for budding entrepreneurs. We want to focus on encouraging this by working with our Business Coaches to identify potential businesses that may benefit from using the Market as a test trading ground for their products before committing to a retail unit and lease agreement.

Dawn said: I am thrilled things are going so well and I have yet again moved to bigger and better premises where I can offer a wider range of services. I wanted to stay in the Markets complex as that is where I started and where my loyal customers have been coming for years.

The new shop, which opened on 6th April on Howard Street, is almost double the size of Dawns previous shop.

Dawn now offers late night opening until 7pm every Thursday, internet access for the general public through five dedicated PC booths, a full repairs service for computer and printing equipment with its own dedicated technician and has extended her ink range with laser toners for business needs.

Markets Manager Robin Lambert said: It is always nice to see one of our traders doing well, especially when they expand from a stall into their own shop unit. It is even better that in the space of six years, Dawn has managed to do this twice. We are glad Dawn has chosen to remain within the Markets Complex and we hope that this is due in part to the high levels of footfall through the market and the support that my team offers to traders.
