A Safe & Welcoming Environment
Rotherham Town Centre Management currently works with South Yorkshire Police and other partners to ensure that shoppers and visitors feel safe and secure in the town centre.
The dedicated Safer Neighbourhood Team is a mutli-agency partnership that works together in sharing intelligence and information to reduce crime and disorder and maintain a pleasant shopping environment by tackling litter and graffiti.
On a day to day basis visitors can feel reassured thanks to the uniformed presence of the town centre policing team comprising a dedicated Police Sergeant, 5 Police Officers and 3 Police Community Support Officers along with regular patrols by Town Centre Wardens, Streetpride Operators and the Town Centre Safety Manager.
Rotherham town centre has a comprehensive CCTV network comprising 70+ cameras and is monitored 24 hours a day 365 days a year by a team of specialised operators. In addition over 50 stores currently support the Business Crime Partnership including an extensive Radio Link Scheme- through joint working town centre retailers ensure that customers enjoy a safe & welcoming shopping experience.
